The Best Of! Monthly Inspiration from our Preferred Wedding Artists March 2019

Best of! Monthly Wedding Inspiration for March 2019

The winds are changing and spring is coming! We’re feeling the inspiration bubble up with each warm breeze that hints at what’s to come. But if you’re not yet out of the winter winds, we’ve got fresh inspiration from the likes of our family Preferred Wedding Artists to perk you up! From an epic parade through the streets of Antigua to a bouquet that has “spring” all over it, our GWS artists brought their absolute BEST this month.

Here’s a look at some of our absolute favorite bits of inspo for March!

A Parade of Love!

Guatemala wedding

Wedding photographer Brogen Jessup planned her wedding celebration in Guatemala and it was INCREDIBLE. After the ceremony, a mariachi band led a parade through the streets of Antigua to their reception!

Abstract Bridal Inspiration

unique bridal inspiration

The concept was to blend a modern editorial shoot with a bridal inspiration shoot. We incorporated a modern dress by Elizabeth Dye and some chunky, modern earrings from Claire Green in the shot. The bridal makeup was kept very minimal and dewy, which went well with the model’s short blunt cut. Then we played around with yellow cellophane, which could easily be incorporated into a wedding backdrop or detail. We wanted to show how light would shine through and create unique highlights on the bride’s face. Sometimes styled shoots get very simple and straight forward. We wanted to do something more abstract.

A Whimsical Ceremony Spread in Tulum

dreamy wedding reception

Specialty Rentals by Archive Rentals:

This traditional sofreh aghd (Persian wedding ceremony spread) at Casa Malca in Tulum was breathtakingly beautiful! Tucked away in the Riviera Maya jungle, this ceremony was classic and romantic, as well as incredibly memorable for both the happy couple and the guests!

A Cheery Wedding at a Bar!

floral tree installation

Planning + Design by Anything But Gray Events:

This photo was from a wedding I planned for an Aussie couple looking for a destination wedding in LA in just 19 days. They loved this bar they had been to in LA, Everson Royce Bar. I had NEVER planned a wedding in a bar and the venue had never hosted a wedding. There was a ton to get done in 19 days! The standpoint piece of the bar patio was a tree, which stood as a beautiful ceremony spot to frame the couple. The tree, bare from the winter, had to be dressed up a lot! Cascading it in bright, yellow florals brought it to life and set the tone for a cheery and bright brunch wedding!

Longtime Lovers in Mission Trails Regional Park

romantic couple shoot

This gorgeous couple got married in November and I did a bridal shoot for them in Mission Trails, San Diego. The scenery looked like Ireland because we’ve been getting so much rain. They have been together for over 10 years and met through Tumblr!

Epic Love in Big Sur

Big Sur wedding

This is one of my favorite images from Felicia and Luis’s Big Sur elopement. The sun was setting perfectly behind the cliffs and the couple got a chance to go take it all in and get some alone time while I hung back to get the shot. It also gave me a minute to enjoy the landscape and the wind on my face. It’s moments like these that make me love my job.

A Southwest Aesthetic Lounge

boho wedding lounge

We recently shot a gorgeous wedding in the beautiful West Texas desert, at our favorite venue, Gage Hotel. They just added this new lounge area to their inventory and I have a feeling it’s going to be a huge hit! They debuted the set-up at Rosanna and Brent’s wedding and it fit their desert Southwest aesthetic perfectly.
