There are plenty of options when it comes to choosing a wedding theme: by color palette, local landscapes, eras in time, or even movies (and hey, we love them ALL), but Dana + Evan decided to stick to what they new best. Themselves!
Dana tells us, Our wedding was full of color, symbols and meaning. Evan is stable, grounded like a tree/wood while I am fun, bright and whimsical like color. Our themes were the merging of color and wood with a little bit of Wes Anderson sprinkled throughout.
Such a cool combination, right?! The duo were on the hunt for a quirky, charming, destination spot and found it just two hours from home at Rimrock Ranch in Pioneertown, California. Armed with the perfect venue, Crosby + Jon Design stepped in to help fulfill the couple’s colorful (and meaningful) vision.

Evan works for Riot Creative Imaging and got super creative printing off everything from the invitations (by Victory Photo Design) to the signage on wood!

Hello, color!
This element was brought in by the bridesmaid dresses. A lot of time was spent finding the perfect color bridesmaid dresses that also matched each girl’s personality and style (which turned out to be harder than I thought!) but worked out better than I could have imagined.
Florals were another way to add in all my color and bring all the bridesmaid dresses together.
Our designers (Crosby + Jon) and rental company (Archive Rentals) brought the most amazing colorful and eclectic chairs, which was one of my favorite things. It was perfect compliment to the wood backdrop and also the dinner tables.
Psst – Evan built the ceremony backdrop and stage! SO COOL.
