Bring on the poppin’ color! Allie + Ross focused their color palette around green (partly because they saved up to get a green sofa for their first apartment and wanted to incorporate green furniture into their reception!). They also wanted to incorporate tons of ferns (Allie had bought 300 fern stamps “for her wedding” when she first saw them — she was afraid they were going to run out). So, ferns became a running motif and served as aisle décor.
Allie spills: Most importantly, ferns and couches aside, our wedding was true to who we are because it incorporated our families and upbringings. Our venue was my childhood home and Ross grew up watching his dad work on and fix up our getaway car. Countless details were made possible by family members near and far. I love that because it is just a reflection of how important our families are to who we are.
About the alpaca: their designer, Emilee at Tasteful Tatters, arranged for this special surprise! Allie has a soft spot for alpacas + talked about having one at the wedding, so Emilee surprised the bride + groom with Snuffy before the ceremony. How fun!
Let’s take a look at all the colorful details in the photos captured by Anna Delores Photography!
The Details
Florals GALORE! Isn’t this minimalistic invitation by Pom Paperie absolutely darling?
Give us ALL the gold sparkles… especially when there are floral touches!
The Ceremony Space
Lark Farnum Design transformed the yard with tons of ferns + florals. How incredible is that tree branch covered with all the greenery + blooms?!
During our reception, I remember telling someone that it was like the most vivid, wonderful dream. So many moments stand out: I remember our intimate first look, I remember the surprise alpaca that our wedding planner brought in for photos (!!), and I remember walking down the aisle with my dad. I remember making eye contact with so many guests as I walked toward marriage; our guests were the people who have most influenced us and loved us. And I remember watching so many of those dear people have fun dancing at our reception. I loved that. I loved it all!

The Newlyweds
That’s the car that Ross’ dad restored… and served as their getaway vehicle!
Allie shares: It took a village. Our neighbors and friends pitched in. My parents were impossibly generous. My mom is overwhelmingly creative, but also patient and kind. My dad is beautifully strong and stable. Our wedding planner was remarkably calm and skilled at managing everything from contracts to crafts. My (then) fiancé was involved and focused on the right things and faithful and gentle. We all worked together, and it was wonderful. Because comparison steals joy, I hope that nobody will compare their ideas or plans to the ones we came up with; I hope these are just pretty, inspiring pictures.
Allie donned an INCREDIBLE Hayley Paige gown. Would you take a look at those illusion lace sleeves?
The Luxe Reception
We exited to the night to “Slide” by Goo Goo Dolls; the song that was playing when we first met.
Allie shares: This sounds silly, but a few things were guiding motifs throughout this process: a green velvet couch, USPS fern stamps, and our homes & families. A random lady I follow on Instagram has a green sofa that I love. So, I saved up and bought a version of it for our first apartment, but I also insisted on green furniture for our reception and for green to be prominent in our color palette. The green worked also worked well because I wanted a lot of greenery, especially ferns.
Archive Rentals made this luxe lounge a reality!

Can you believe they set this up at Allie’s family home? Well done, folks!
The tables were lined with gorgeous pieces from 24/7 Events + Hostess Haven.
To anyone planning now, I would recommend a wedding planner. She gave advice and direction, she handled the clunky logistical things (like restrooms and rental contracts), and she helped made sure that we didn't get so wrapped up in planning a wedding that we couldn't prepare for a marriage.
The Sweet Treats
All the sweet treats! Instead of one large cake to feed the crowd, A+R opted for a collection of delicious donuts.
Their floral cake was the handiwork of Cake Goodness.
From the team at GWS, congratulations A+R!!
