The Kentucky Derby is this weekend + it is just full of tradition! Inspired by this tradition, history, bright colors + the festive nature of this special event that happens each spring, today’s creative team decided to bring this to life for a wedding. Led by You & Me Events, their intention was to take inspiration from the Spring line of BHLDN dresses which they felt were very “Gatsby inspired”. Using the 1920’s as fashion inspiration, contemporary patterns and bright colors as table inspiration, they were able to create a southern Derby style event that makes me want to grab a stylish hat, place a bet and sip on a mint julep while the horses race on by. :) Thanks to Annie Edmonds for the gorgeous photos!

I just LOVE all the bright colors and mix of bold patterns. The gorgeous florals are by The Little Branch and rentals are from Archive Vintage Rentals. Pretty obsessed with the paper details by Prim & Pixie. And wait until you see the stunning cake from Sweet & Saucy – love the ranunculus flowers that are all made of sugar!
