We just love the photos and the stories of love here on Green Wedding Shoes. This isn’t your typical wedding story, but the story that Renee of One Tree Life shared with me is one of a big heart and the will to keep going when your world turns upside down. Renee started working in the photography field seven years ago. Her and her husband built up the business slowly and had finally reached their personal goals that would allow her husband to quit his day job when he suddenly died. I can’t even imagine that… Renee became a widow and single mom. She took a year off photographing weddings entirely but was still unwilling to commit to photographing one before testing herself.
Renee had always been fond of a certain couple in her small town in Idaho. She also knew that they were unable to have a ceremony + reception when they were married. So Renee offered to design, set up and take the pictures at absolutely no cost. Not only was she able to provide a very deserving couple with photos + a wedding day they will cherish forever, she also found that she fell in love all over again with taking part in such an important day in a couple’s life. She is now back to photographing the thing she loves – weddings – and has now began booking weddings for 2012. It’s stories like this that really make me so happy to be a part of the wedding world. Renee, you are inspiring and I wish you all the best with documenting these stories of love and I know lots + lots of couple’s will cherish your photos for years to come. Thanks so much for sharing your story today. And to the Krizenesky’s – we are excited to share your “second” wedding today. :)
I just love her blue ruffled dress from ModCloth! Just $199 and it comes in pink
 too. :)
A beautiful backyard ceremony.
Congrats to the Krizenesky’s and thanks so much to One Tree Life for the lovely photos. One Tree Life is located in Spirit Lake, Idaho.
Renee and Michael were our wedding photographers back in 2004 and we still treasure our photographs!

“…you can’t always get what you want… but if you try sometimes… you might just find… you get what you need…”
What a story. I don’t know how I could find strength like Renee’s to go on if I lost my best friend. What a strong woman. And how beautiful that she and this couple know each other so they can give each other what they all need.
Best story ever!!!
Oh my goodness. This makes me tear up. The photos are lovely and inspiring, Renee, great job!! Creative and beautiful.

These photos are amazing! She is not only a talented photographer but a great stylist too. Oh my gosh, this story reminds me of why I want to be a wedding photographer. Renee is inspiring and touching a lot of people. I wish you the best of luck next year with your weddings Renee!
As a soon to be bride, who looks at wedding blogs daily, I thinks its easy to loose appreciation for the beauty in each event. This story and the photographs gave me chills. Amazing job Renee, and congratulations (again) to the happy couple. I especially LOVE the dress, it’s perfect for the occasion!
Thank you so much for the feature today! Such a treat to come home and see my work on your blog, it really is one of my absolute favorites!
What a beautiful wedding, and what a moving story. Thanks so much for sharing! Best wishes to Renee and the Krizeneskys.
Renee has a heart of an angel. As you can see she is extremely talented but she is by far the most a person could be: caring, determined, loving, witty, encouraging, understanding, strong and a just plain GOOD, to the soul. She’s an inspiration in every sense of the word and I am so grateful to call her my friend. Thank you Renee so incredibly much for doing this for us, we truly will cherish these photos forever.
LOVE the dress–it’s such a gorgeous and fresh thing! I’m all for unusual, not-just-like-a-wedding-dress dresses.

Oh wow! These photos have such style- the amazingness shines through.
And that dress is fantastic!
What a beautiful set of photos, especially the monochrome one of the couple holding hands. It looks like they had perfect weather for their special day, too.
I super duper love this wedding and everything on it!
