While Wisconsin winters can drag on, this creative team decided to channel those icy feelings for something ultra-cool, ultra-modern, and utterly iridescent. Danielle of Rosewood Weddings shares: What inspired us, initially, was finding leftover tinsel on the floor New Year’s Day. To us, all the luminous colors that popped up while ringing in 2019 paired well with Milwaukee’s frigid, dry winter.
That leftover tinsel served as the main palette inspiration: silvery blues, iridescent purples, and heaps of glitter. To add an interesting contrast they introduced neutral florals and tons of dried grasses. Think that sounds like a cool combo? Glitter can oftentimes be overwhelming, but Hall Creative Co introduced it in a luxe and understated way as envelope liners.
The Glitzy Backdrop
THIS BACKDROP. We thought the shimmering tinsel on the ceremony hoop was cool…but when paired with the dried grasses Posies & Pine brought in—it’s serious ART.
Dig that neutral-toned ribbon wrapped around the bouquet? It’s by Frou Frou Chic.
Kate Troxell crafted a dewy makeup look with with soft strokes of shimmer to complement the glam updo from Hair By Smash.

Too much fun! The team paired the Holly Harp-inspired bridal romper with a mermaid piñata tinsel jacket.
Neutral florals continued to take the stage for this grate backdrop. Posies & Pine included a combination of dried Indian grass, bleached Italian ruscus, menta roses and dried okra.

We adore the addition of the evil eye here to reflect the bride’s beaded evil eye earrings.

The icing on this editorial…er cake, was this ultra-mod confectionary delight from Yield Bakehouse, topped with round sugar plates. In the middle? More prairie grass to tie the whole thing together!
