Yvette + Dillon have a long history of loving each other—20 years, in fact! It all started in junior high and continued all the way to their gorgeous alter, a circle of redwood trees at Glen Oaks in Big Sur. Both lovers of nature, him the forest and her the ocean, saying their vows where the forest meets the sea was a dream wedding come true. With the help of Big Sur Weddings, the day came together just as they’d hoped. Here’s more from Yvette:
We kept it very intimate—21, to be exact. Our wedding consisted of our parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. We have a strong love for nature so we wanted mother nature’s arms wrapped around us! We said “I do” inside of a beautiful fairy ring of redwoods, enjoyed a cliffside dinner by the Pacific Ocean, and danced in the middle of Big Sur’s beautiful mountains. The day ended with the ones who mean the most to us and a bonfire beneath the stars. We were truly able to enjoy every moment.

Our son and daughter walking us down the aisle. Feeling their love for us was pure magic. Dillon is my best friend, we met when we were just kids and growing up with him has been everything and more. Seeing him that day knowing I get be on this journey of life with him forever gives me a feeling I will never be able to describe.
Processional: My son and I walked down the aisle to a 3-string orchestra playing Yellow by Coldplay and my daughter walked my husband down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles.
Recessional: Can’t Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis
