In the bustling city of Cape Town, elopements aren’t always the first option. At least–not yet! Happinest Weddings set out to prove that it doesn’t take a big budget and 200+ guests to celebrate your love with jaw-droppingly beautiful details. Elopements in South Africa are becoming more and more common as couples ditch the overwhelming planning and focus on, as Erin at Happinest calls it, the “happy and not the hype.” Love that!
This shoot in particular has all the makings of a lavish wedding, but for two! A stunning backdrop, gorgeous florals, not one but two gowns, a rooftop view and an escape through the city all set the stage for the part that matters most: that glorious celebration of love.
Let’s have a look at the details, captured by Lauren Pretorius Photography!
Fleur Design Studio’s darling paper goods–nothing fancy–echo the sweet sentiments and designs throughout the day.
Isn’t it true that sometimes brilliance is in the simplicity of the thing? Take, for example, this simple wooden hexagon backdrop spilling over with florals! SO perfect (and so doable).
Wildeflower brought in the garden of blooms featured throughout!
The bride wore two gowns by Cape Town based designer, Chanelle Cindy.
A canopy of flowers?! Absolutely sign us up for this.
Gentlemen, time to step up your style game. We love seeing the fellas take some fashion risks and bringing a little more personality to wedding wear! How cool is this look?? Here’s a few fun patterned shirts to try:
You two make eloping look good. Thanks to the whole team for sharing your creative inspiration with us!
