Courtney + George are both scientists who appreciate clean, simple aesthetics + geometric design. So it’s easy to see why they chose the amazing San Diego Central Library as their venue and why they fell for its incredible architecture + modern, urban feel. When planning out the details, they hoped the design of their day would share a glimpse into their daily lives in San Francisco. And by teaming up with Jesi Haack for styling, and The Love Riot for planning, they were in good hands from the get-go and in a perfect position to make that thought a reality.
They share, We wanted to choose a venue in downtown San Diego because it has tremendous sentimental value, being a place we used to visit often while living in Southern California. We also made sure to incorporate aspect that represent our personal hobbies and interests, including signature craft cocktails, bicycles, succulents, and a few subtle references to our favorite video game series, The Legend of Zelda.

Reading our handwritten vows to each other for the first time during the ceremony! It was certainly the most romantic moment of the day and also, according to most of the guests, one of the most memorable moments of our whole wedding.
