In terms of what inspired its details, today’s wedding may be a first of its kind, but we’re already certain it won’t be the last! Rachel + Taylor created such a stylish wedding day, ultimately inspired by the dark floral wallpaper by artist Ashley Woodson Bailey. (We love it so much too!!) To create an entire look based around this fun detail, deep purple florals paired with various metals + dark wood, and those elements were scattered artfully throughout the venue. In addition to the tangible design fixtures seen below, R + T ran with a moody, almost gothic, vibe for the day that created a beautifully unique atmosphere for their guests!
To pull of the right feel, Flowers By Yona crafted stunning bouquets and arrangements that complemented, rather than competed with, the wallpaper and Molly McKinley Designs layered in romantic details that worked within the setting. Entrusted with all the top-notch design work, Rustic White Photography beautifully captured the day from start to finish, and we are pretty sure we simply couldn’t love this wedding more!
How amazing is the ceremony backdrop, you guys?! So stunning, yet so unique.
Rachel had a custom dress created from three different Leanne Marshall dresses in order to create the look she was going for. She paired the gorgeous gown with all vintage jewelry from both of her grandmothers, as well as from Taylor’s grandmother, as a sentimental gesture in memory of those who could not attend.
This bouquet perfectly echoes the feel of the wallpaper, don’t you think?
The bridesmaids each wore a black dress of their choice, which helped Rachel + Taylor further achieve the dark, moody feel they were going for.

Our two favorite moments were the first look prior to the ceremony & the presentation at the reception!

Our Musical Choices
The ambiance of the reception was just as good as can be thanks to Ambient + Studio‘s warm, industrial wood floors and storied white brick walls. Furniture rentals + draping from Crush Event Design, plus lots of romantic candlelight, gave the space a cozy feel.

Our Advice
First, hire a good planner. Second, make all the decisions WAY ahead of time, so you don’t have to make any decisions the day of the wedding. After you decide the overall look you want for your decor, you can personalize SO MANY details with things you both love!
