It’s no big secret that indigo is the talk of the town these days. From weddings to interiors, this versatile hue can bring so much style to any setting. We especially love how the team from today’s creative editorial photographer, Katie Pritchard, and paper designer, Alex, from Goodheart Design teamed up to reinvent the wheel, with a more masculine take on the idea of indigo.
Alex says, We wanted to offer something a soon-to-be bride could be scrolling through and think her fiancé would love as well. We tried to keep it neutral, simple and classy with leather and indigo details. Besides sticking to our neutral color palette, we tried to add very specific manly features throughout the shoot such as Teakwood & Tobacco smelling candles, leather placemats, old whiskey bottles and the Classic Manhattan drink.
This handwritten watercolor suite by Goodheart Design just couldn’t be better!
If you’re loving this modern two-piece wedding dress, we’ve got the details! The dress is by Karen Willis Holmes, which the ladies sourced from Love & Lace Bridal Salon.
Adrienne of The Bloom of Time whipped up the prettiest fern + anemone bouquet. Loving its modern-tropical feel!
24 Carrots created two signature drinks for the shoot; a Classic Manhattan for the groom + a Moscow Mule for the bride! (P.S. On the topic of Moscow Mules, grab a few of these adorable mugs on sale now in the GWS Shop!)
We love how the Katie + Alex spread the indigo hue throughout the setting, careful not to overuse it anywhere. The indigo pillows, chairs, goblets and napkins were so stylish + just the right amount of blue.
We’re totally flipping for that fern wall – the perfect cake backdrop in our humble opinions! ;)
Which, BTW, the cake is by Sweet Kacy’s. That indigo shibori pattern is just killin’ it!
How cool is this plant wall at Anaheim, Cali venue The Colony House?!

Such a fun take on indigo, don’t you think? Big thanks to our girl, Katie Pritchard, Alex from Goodheart Design + the rest of the talented team below for sharing!
