If you’re renewing your wedding vows, you might not know where to start. For this reason, insight from our bride, Lindsey, is so helpful! Celebrating 15 years of marriage, we wanted to incorporate places that had special meaning to us; bringing back those old, lovey feelings as a couple. That was the primary focus of the day. For us to feel all those giddy feelings we had when we first met. It was the most nostalgic day!
This rocking vow renewal was partially inspired by Covid-19. In particular, for the couples tired of postponing. Or those of you brewing some epic vow renewal ceremonies. Mel Rey Photo photographed all the funk of this authentic and rad day. It’s a tour de iridescence via a Volkswagen van called Mailbooth!

What else makes your wedding vow renewal special? Hitting up your favorite spots! This funky tour made a stop at Baskin Robins, where they had their first date. Ice cream is always a good idea.

If you want to renew your wedding vows and aren’t planning on having this much fun…something’s wrong!
Our advice would be to make it fun and unique! We really had fun with the funky style, and just laughing and celebrating our love + friendship. My number one piece of advice is to hire a photographer that shares your special vision and can get funky fun with you!
