For all of you planning a fall wedding for later this year, today’s charming Hudson Valley barn wedding seriously couldn’t have come at a better time! Danielle + Mike have always loved this scenic part of New York…their favorite place to retreat to for a weekend of hiking + exploring in the most picturesque settings imaginable. As soon as Mike popped the question, one thing was decided before anything else: they knew they’d be getting married somewhere in that magical place that meant so much to them.
From the bride, Fall in the Hudson Valley was our inspiration for the day. Throughout the planning process, we strived to incorporate elements that would provide our guests with a proper Hudson Valley experience. From the farm-to-table food to the venue’s location in quaint High Falls, it was important to us to show our guests all the beauty the area has to provide.
Big thanks to Lauren Fair Photography for sharing + big congrats to the happy couple!
Danielle’s Matthew Christopher dress is a total dream!
And her bridesmaids looked lovely in their cream J.Crew dresses!
All of the stress and anticipation I felt leading up to the wedding melted away the second we said “I Do.” We left the church blissfully happy and arrived back at Shadow Lawn where we were finally able to take in the beauty of the location. What is most memorable are those moments between the ceremony and reception when we realized that all of our planning came together to create something spectacularly perfect.
Green Cottage crafted the perfect bouquet for the setting! Love all the green with a few touches of purple :)
And we adore the cozy feel of the barn setting. Those Floravine Table Numbers from BHLDN were a perfect fit!
MIXTAPE: a cover band for hipsters kept the party going strong and Danielle + Mike danced to Strangers by The Kinks for their first dance.
Make your wedding about the two of you. Mike and I knew from the very beginning that we didn’t want our wedding to take place in a traditional wedding venue. We wanted to create something that was unique and meant something special to us. It was hard work, but in the end our day was exactly what we hoped for and more.

So pretty! I would love to know the source for the shawls…that’s what I’m thinking of doing for my Oct wedding :)
Same! I’d love to know the source for the shawls… they are beautiful!
The first and end shots are by far my favorite. The couple standing centered with the red barn doors, paper lanterns, and flowing curtains is simple and rustic. The last shot is just stunning!
Loose curls look always so romantic! Love the hairstyle of the bride and her bridesmaids.
Would anyone be able to tell me where these shawls are from?
Where are the shawls from? They totally make the bridesmaid look! Would love to know…
Where are the bridesmaid shawls from? LOVE!
What a gorgeous venue!
Could someone tell me where these shawls are from!??
