Michelle + John had a travel inspired wedding and wanted to incorporate that same theme into their styled Day After shoot. What’s a Day After shoot? These are perfect for couples who didn’t have a chance to get lots of portraits on the wedding day – or maybe you weren’t happy with the portraits on your wedding day. Then this is a chance to work with another photographer and get some great photos in your wedding attire that you love!
Michelle + John promised to live a life of adventure together and have been all over the world. From Germany to South America and back again. They love to do missionary work and work closely with an orphanage in Haiti. This February, John traveled to Africa where he taught an orphanage how to build and maintain a hydroponic garden/pond where the two ecosystems can rely on each other for nutrients and produce fresh vegetables + fish. I’m totally loving the gorgeous photos captured by Leah Marie Photography – especially the ones in the hot air ballon! Congrats you two!!
From Leah: For this shoot, the hardest part was that hot air balloons in Temecula, California will only take off at sunrise. The shoot was on December 9th and it was freezing cold! We had Renewd Furniture set up a travel inspired scene with lots of maps, globes, vintage suitcases and old cameras to compliment the area next to the hot air balloon.
From Michelle: My favorite part about our shoot was when we got to go up in the hot air balloon. It was so much fun but I remember getting sick to my stomach because every time the driver would pull on the fire, I kept going from freezing cold to hot!! Not a good combination!

I love this photo shoot. Aww, so romantic, uniquely beautiful, it’s definitely one of a kind. I wish I could have my pre-nup shoot like this. I love the air balloon theme, the ambiance is so relaxing, yet the air balloon gives the whole shoot an exhilarating effect. I love the bride’s bouquet, a mix of various flowers all meshed into one lovely piece. Absolutely charming!
