If you’ve ever been out to Joshua Tree, you probably understand why it’s a photographer’s dream: the interesting shapes of all the trees, the dreamy desert sun, the wide open expanses. On top of that, there are some areas on the outskirts of eclectic shops + cool places stop at, namely Rimrock Ranch in Pioneertown. Taking inspiration from its quirky, bohemian vibe, Jaime of Wild Heart Events teamed up with photography team, Jake and Necia, to make this stunning editorial come to fruition.
Focusing on late summer hues, a sprinkling of California poppies + desert flowers, along with an overall modern meets free-spirited style, with a slight edge — we’re kinda sorta crushing (HARD!). Ready to step into a late summer dream? Let’s go!
The Details
We couldn’t think of a SWEETER detail to incorporate into a California-inspired invitation suite by Moontree Letterpress, than a handful of California poppies. Fitting, right? The darling menu that complements all the subdued desert hues is the handiwork of Sophia Loves Letters.
Velvet mules? YES, please!! These bad boys are from Charlotte Stone, but we’ve picked out a few of our faves so you can get a similar look below:
The Florals
For the florals, Idlewild Floral picked hues that were reminiscent of desert flowers. Soft peachy pinks, a bit of a darker magenta with the bougainvillea, and a touch of yellow mustard.
The prettiest!
The Outfits
Can we get a round of applause for this Stone Cold Fox dress?! Loving the V neckline and the cutout on the back. Très chic, no?
The groom donned a stylish blue-gray suit to round out all the sunset hues.
The Tablescape
Say hello to this masterpiece of a tablescape! A mix of textured fringe, cheese cloth, darling detailed floral plates, and desert-inspired florals, we could see this working for SO many different events.
Can’t get over those plates from Party Pleasers + the adorable flatware pouch!
Hearts on fire… who else is seriously crushing on these late summer desert hues?!
Way to go to the team behind this fiery editorial. :)

I love the rustic look! The colors go great with the desert venue.
