Going Gothic with this Halloween-Inspired Wedding in LA

Chic Halloween-Inspired Wedding

We’re eerily enchanted by all things Halloween as October 31st quickly approaches. And as it turns out, we’re not the only fans of the spooky holiday. Samantha + Eder both share an interest in Halloween. With that, and their enthusiasm for Victorian-Gothic style, S + E knew exactly where to start when laying out their wedding vision.

After a bit of a discussion, we decided that we wanted to have a themed wedding. At times, this proved to be a bit challenging, but we are so happy we did it! Anything else wouldn’t have felt right, as neither of us are the traditional type. It was perfect, and just as elegant + beautiful.

The stately Rives Mansion was the perfect setting for a very dark, but monumental celebration. With cohesive planning from One Social Design, S + E had a beautifully authentic wedding, with inspired designs + thoughtful decor.

We’re in a moody mood to browse through this Halloween-inspired wedding gallery captured by Siera Harbin:

Papermint Press creates a deep, dark stationery suite without masking the feminine romance from the neutral blooms.

Tadashi Shoji Black Dress

Samantha tells us about finding her non-traditional, velvety chic wedding dress: Searching for the right dress was a bit tricky since I didn’t want a traditional white gown. It took some time and some mishaps, but I finally found the one that was meant to be, from Tadashi Shoji. The Marcella long-sleeve velvet gown is one to swoon over!

Eder’s wedding day look, from Friar Tux, perfectly accents Samantha’s deep gown with moody textures + a cool bowtie.

Ceremony Setup

Now, that’s a floral statement! fleur.ish creates a moody, gothic vibe while still using classic floral pieces like white roses. We’re obsessing over this ceremony setup and Samantha’s rich, monochrome bouquet.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The whole day was so memorable; everything from the flowers to the food were simply amazing. To narrow it down to just one moment is a tough one, but if we had to choose it would definitely be our first kiss as husband and wife.
