It’s that time of year where everything gets a little…spooky. The air turns crisp, the night gets longer, the ghosts and ghouls come out to play! For those that really like to get into the Halloween spirit and channel their mischievous side—have you ever considered saying your vows in a cemetery? I mean, what better place to utter the words, “’Til death do us part…”?
Halloween is a FAVORITE for Ashley Nicole Events. This time of year always brings her back to her childhood when her mom would begin the costume design process in July (what a rockstar!), and then come Halloween night, she and her brother would sort through their mountains of candy. Sound familiar? In order to channel those haunting feelings, Ashley teamed up with Christian Wilson Photography and florist, XO Design Co, to create something seriously eerie.

The Outfits

The Ceremony
Are you familiar with the tradition of handfasting during a marriage ceremony? This ritual has roots in an ancient Celtic tradition and serves as a symbol of binding two souls together (this is where the origin of the phrase “to tie the knot” comes from!).
Thistle, anemones, painted roses, and gilded leaves—XO Design Co crafted a stunning bouquet that is equal parts enchanting and moody as it is luxe.
Finding a grassy spot, the ceremony space was lined with tons of candles. Can you imagine how this looks at night?
The Onyx Marbled Tablescape
Oh. Man. Now that’s how you tie in the spooky + eerie into a tablescape…while still making it fashion. Aren’t those pops of gold brilliant?
