Are you gearing up for the holidays + surrounding yourself with all sorts of cozy things? Perhaps you’re counting down the days until *that* Christmas party, or even prepping for the New Year… There’s something magical about this season, isn’t there? When everyone comes to gather, everything seems to be gilded (or frosted!), and there’s no shortage of merriment. For those reasons (and more), we totally understand why one would want to have a holiday wedding!
Think of this as a glam + gilded version of your favorite Christmas party…only better! Yep, taking place at Fonthill Castle in the Historic District of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Delaney Dobson Photography is bringing us this gorgeous Christmas wedding editorial, with inspiration drawn from the early 20th century and all its opulence.
Without further ado, the advent, I mean, event, begins now!
The Details
We weren’t kidding when we said glam + gilded! Would you take a look at that gorgeous hairpiece from Be Something New + the sequin and pearl shawl by BHLDN.
Cheers to that! Haven & Hasbrook created personalized champagne flutes for the bride + groom.
For the florals that Bloom Flower Co crafted, it was all about a balance of sparkle and sophistication—from the bouquet, to the ceremony trees, and even the mantle, everything had a touch of delightful shimmer.
The Historic Reception Space
Delaney shares: I wanted to capture that decadence that was alive in bridal styling from the 20th century… This fusion pulls in the sleek and sophisticated glamour of the Gilded Age to create an extraordinarily unique group of images.
Woah, woah, woah!! We knew they were incorporating a *historic touch* but would you take a look at this room?!
Doesn’t this look like it could be straight out of a Fitzgerald novel?
Cocktails + Confectionaries
Wondering what kind of cocktail concoctions you can dazzle your guests with? Take a peek at these Festive Holiday Cocktail recipes!
The Novel Baker created a spread of tasty treats that would make even Santa blush…
What a spread!! With pieces from Bucks Mont Party Rentals, Fox & Finch Vintage Rentals, and Primitive Seasons, the whole space was completely transformed into a winter wonderland.
When the Snow Falls
Could you ask for anything more magical?! And for those curious about the castle backdrop, Fonthill Castle is a museum built by an archeologist between 1908-1912. It once served as his home, as well as a place to display his treasures, including a large collection of tiles + prints.
Happy holidays, folks!!

Oh my gosh those colours are amazing! <3
The colors are indeed amazing: while some Christmas themed weddings can be too over the top, this wedding exudes the most elegant notes, with scarlet red, gold and bronze undertones, and the bright white bridal gown. The sheer jeweled cape is especially stunning.
Can you tell me where the cranberry cable knit shawl that the bride is wearing came from?
