You already know the super bloom is a wondrous sight (thanks, everyone on Instagram). Maybe you’ve thought about taking some engagement photos amongst the flowers? Great idea — we encourage it! But did you know that Carlsbad’s Flower Fields of 50 acres of ranunculus actually features a full wedding venue on site?! (You might remember we featured the Flower Fields in our 26 Coolest Wedding Venues in the US!)
You’ve got a small window, namely March to May, but this floral dream is not an impossible one and for THAT we are thankful. What goes better with weddings than flowers, after all? The team behind today’s inspiration gathered to play amongst the blooms and showcase all the dreamy venue has to offer.
Let’s have a look at how it all came together with planning by Events by Jenny Smorzewski and photos by Jarrod J. Photo!
A romantic + minimal invitation by Four Things Paper set the stage.
Bloomin’ Brilliant
The model brides — literally + figuratively! — pranced around in gorgeous wedding dresses from Archive Bridal in Carlsbad.
Rockstar in the front, romance in the back. AKA, our name for this killer ‘do that Brooklyn Cardenas came up with!
Among the Wildflowers
Do you even need a ceremony backdrop when this is the view?! A simple frame marked with florals gets the job done!
I Pick You
Moments In Bloom brought in the perfect floral accents to tie in all the decor.
And this 3-tiered wonder by Sweet As Bliss sits pretty with blush + gold detailing.
Ranunculus are popular flowers for those sensitive to scent or prone to allergies. They symbolize radiance + charm…clearly!
All the colors!
Quite the dream. Who else is thinking of an April wedding?! Thanks to the team for sharing this lovely inspiration with us!

Wow! what a location! so much colour!
I got married there off-season with the fields empty and before they had the wedding stage. Even then, it’s was a gorgeous place to get married.
