If you thought you’d seen all there was to see when it comes to weddings, we bet today’s amazing neon Nashville nuptials will make you realize that you haven’t! Because Megan + Jesse’s wedding was so full of fun, eclectic elements we’re almost at a loss for words to describe it! It seems like the best thing to do in this situation is let Ariel Renae‘s gorgeous photos do the talking, but before we hear a few more details from Megan + dive into the full (amazing) feature, we have six words we just have get out: neon veil and tutu wedding dress!!!
From the bride, We wanted the vibe and the look to be this awesome mix of country, neon-signage-slightly-tacky Miami, rustic, and flamingos. (Jesse loves flamingos.) We really sat down together and fleshed out all the little details — we enjoyed doing that to make it truly represent the two of us. We hand wrote the Garbage Pail Kid and WWF-themed place cards for each table setting even!
Seriously, have you ever seen a cooler bride?!! Megan is rocking that tutu dress; a custom made design by L’impasse in New York City.
M + J were lucky to have a family friend craft all the florals for the day + we’re super into their tropical vibe!
Jesse wore a custom made electric blue suit by Mike McCauley of Q. James bespoke. Shop our fave blue suits for your groom in our guide below!

Processional: Sleepwalk – Brian Setzer
Recessional: Live Version of Top Gun Theme Song
First Dance: What a Fool Believes – Michael McDonald
One was walking away back down the after we’d said our I do’s to Jesse’s great family friend who’s a brilliant musician, Jamie Hannah shredding the Top Gun theme song on his electric guitar. We get pangs and chills just thinking about how searingly cool it sounded!
As Ariel Renae says, Megan + Jesse’s wedding proves that when a couple does what feels true to their personalities, it is always going to be amazing – and we couldn’t agree more!
Stay true to yourself and don’t just do what you think you’re supposed to do for a wedding. People think weddings have to be a certain way, but they really truly do not. Dream up anything and make it happen.
