Aman + Sonu’s love story all began over a good, old-fashioned telephone conversation, and so they partnered up with the genius designers at Amorology to bring that to life for their California wedding! They chatted on the phone for three months before finally meeting in person, but it only took two dates for them to realize that the connection they had made was meant to last forever. Among other beautifully executed details, their wedding paid homage to their sweet beginning by asking guests to “drop them a line” at the sign in table prior to the ceremony + incorporating a colorful retro phone wall for their escort card display!
The Amorology team says, Infusing our couples Indian culture, we created a bright and fun color palette, mixed with hues of magenta, peach, teal and green and dashes of gold.
Thanks so much to Jessica Kettle for the stunning photos and big congrats to Aman + Sonu on a beautiful day!
The absolutely gorgeous henna was done by Henna San Diego.
Oak and the Owl adorned their ceremony with lush, vibrant blooms. Clusters of peonies, dahlias and garden roses were suspended from the mandap as guests lounged on beautifully woven rugs from Casa De Perrin and pillows in lieu of traditional seating.
Following the ceremony , guests were greeted with a colorful retro phone wall (a design collab between Amorology + Backup Backdrops) that served as an old fashioned directory and helped guests find their table numbers with tags from Peanut Press Creative .
Once to their table, laser cut wood phones served as table markers, complete with phone numbers that were chosen from one of the careers of the guests at the table and were named such things like the pharmacist, the dentist, the lawyer, the doctor, etc.
Bakery display cases held a variety of delicious cakes by Hey There Cupcake, and guests were encouraged to come to the counter and place a request for their order! So fun, right?!
Find vendors that you love. We were so lucky to work with people that we respected both professionally and personally. We had faith that they would deliver nothing but the best for our wedding, and that let us relax and focus on our wedding instead of worrying about logistics.
