A few things have remained the same since starting GWS back in 2008, one of them being our love of elopements! Maybe it’s the intimacy of the day, or the beauty that’s shown when a wedding is stripped of all its traditional frills. Either way, elopements are very dear to our hearts – and may be particularly inspiring to couples dealing with pivoting wedding plans because of coronavirus.
Whether an elopement has been your plan from the start or you’re making a big wedding change, today’s boho elopement inspiration is free spirited, filled with macramé + hosted in a greenhouse. Checks all our boxes! Alma Creative teamed up with Ivory Embers Photography, and here they share their vision: we wanted a striking transformation; an organic process of converting the open vintage space into an overgrown, bohemian sanctuary – with a contemporary color pallet of charcoals, terra cotta, rusts, and evergreens.
It’s everything we love about greenhouse weddings, scaled down for the perfect elopement setting. Here’s the stylish love story photography by Ivory Embers Photography:
Calligraphy Love Song
Lyrics, calligraphed by Melissa Joy Design, of You Are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne add to the intimacy of this elopement. It’s a wedding song archway, and is the sweetest design in lieu of stationery.

Boho Bridal Style
That dried bouquet is gorg, but we can’t take our eyes off this boho bride! Jaeda Marie Makeup rocks a dewy glam look; it’s natural-enhancing art highlighting her aquamarine eyes! Her fresh look is framed with a soft effortless beachy wave hairstyle.
This boho bridal bouquet is so rad; which is why we’re making one for our living room!
Greenhouse Elopement Goals
We’re firm believers that there’s no such thing as too many plants. These lush greens are a mix of silk, supplied by Bespoke Décor, intermingled with live bushels of ferns, fiddles + tropical flora from Our Little Flower Company. Macramé plant hangers, from Hearts Intension Macramé, are decorated along the glass window fastenings. Lush + amazing!
Macramé Styling + Terra Cotta Touches
Large matte black chargers, provided by Bespoke Décor, lay the foundation of this tablescape. Built upon them are abstract diamond salad plates + oatmeal fringed napkins. The modern gold flatware + a personalized terra-cotta place card give this greenhouse celebration an elevated, cool vibe.
Boho Elopement With The Perfect Light
Let’s talk about this rad, could-be-macramé gown! The bride showcases her curves in the ‘Sequoia’ gown by Rue De Seine. The plunging neckline and open back pairs so well with those black snakeskin ankle boots + white fringed earrings! But, let’s be honest, we’re all about accessorizing with bridal hats! These free spirits have us wanting more + more.

Macramé Wedding Cake
A towering four-tiered cake by Cakes by Peddie, gives the perfect fringed, desert vibe. Meanwhile, these macramé details pull at our boho heartstrings!
We’re immediately ready to plan a rad elopement! Now to find an abandoned greenhouse…
