Despite living in the Philippines, Garry and Romeo decided to elope in Vietnam, which they say is like their home away from home. “We love Vietnam as our second home, and we have friends there,” says the couple. But when it came to their marriage, they explained that they wanted it to be intimate and to be a moment that they kept to themselves. It also helped that they are friends with the talented Vietnam event planner, Trang Tran of Bayla Wedding Planner who was the one who suggested that they should elope to mark their journey.
The secluded and tropical Moc Chau served as the destination of choice where they were surrounded by scenic mountains, lush trees, and, of course, serene waterfalls. On top of the swoon-worthy setting, unique floral installments were seen both during the ceremony and after, such as a one-of-a-kind floral craft sailboat and a floating flower-filled table runner—all designed by Primavera Flower Decor.
Along with the florals, hand-drawn stationery “inspired by the spectator of Moc Chau,” says Trang, were another noteworthy detail this waterfall elopement. See more of the dreamy ceremony captured by Kien’s Collection below!
Every moment was amazing and memorable. But if we could choose only one, that would be the exchange of our vows right in front of the stunning waterfalls
First, find your dream location. The location is one of the crucial elements. Recall your memories about the place you like or decide which site you want to spend on your special day. Make a list of places you like and discuss it with your partner.
Second, when it comes to planning, we highly recommend planning the wedding for 6 months, because we spent almost 2 months and a half deciding the location and around 1month to find our wedding planners. ·
Finally, be strong, it was a challenging process, but the result is perfect and satisfactory.
“We are proud of having been able to pull everything through despite the restrictions of the pandemic,” says the couple “It was a tough process to select the venue, the date, and the people involved but everything went smoothly. We are proud of the planning and the magical outcome reflected through our photos and videos.”
