Paige and Ryan had a stunning floral-filled wedding at The Lautner Compound in Desert Hot Springs, California! The couple knew early on that they would get married in Palm Springs and they focused their efforts on keeping their big day true to themselves.
The Lautner is a stunning venue and was the perfect canvas to build upon. The two wanted mid-century modern details surrounded by lush florals by Not Just in Novels and stylish, yet cohesive event design by Fawn Events. Ultimately, they wanted the day to be fun and the complete opposite of stuffy and predictable! Mary Costa Photography expertly captured this desert dream and we can’t wait for you to see it! Pirouette Paper made the cutest pink invitation suite that perfectly set the tone for the wedding!
From the beginning, this beautiful bride gravitated to timeless, crepe style dresses. She thinks back to finding “the dress” and was gracious enough to share with us that story!
“One of the first gowns I tried on was from Alexandra Grecco’s collection and I knew immediately that she was the designer for me. I actually had my mind set on one of her other gowns and then her new collection came out and I laid eyes on the dress of my dreams. It was the perfect balance of simple elegance and something unique. And if I’m being honest, the sleeves and beading are unmatched.“

The “Bryn” gown by Alexandra Grecco features a square neck and embellished bell sleeves that add a hint of flirtation!
The groom has arrived! Ryan chose a crisp black suit from The Black Tux and looks dashing!

The color palette consisted of creamy whites, soft neutrals, blush, peach, marigold, and tangerine, with pops of fuchsia and gold.
The team tied these bright hues in with natural desert elements such as a few potted cacti adorning the aisle and custom signage displays.
Not Just in Novels created lush duel floral pillars against the mid-century modern breeze block ceremony wall using shades of red, pink, orange, and yellow. What a gorgeous spot to say I Do!
Entering in style is the only way down the aisle!!
The couple opted not to see each other before the ceremony and Ryan’s reaction was incredibly heartfelt.
There were tears, there was laughter, and a whole lot of love shared between these two!
The Newlyweds
After the ceremony, the couple + photographer Mary Costa made a quick jaunt out to the desert for portraits before the party began!
“Palm Springs has been such a special place in our relationship. We were engaged in Joshua Tree and have spent more weekends together in the desert than we can count! There was no doubt Palm Springs would be the place we decided to tie the knot.”
“We also knew that we wanted this day to be focused on our love and our story – whether that was told by us in our vows or told by our loved ones in the speeches they shared. One of the best parts of the night was hearing from many of our guests that our ceremony was one of the most heartfelt that they have witnessed. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about!“
The bold colors and pops of pattern such as this leopard pillow really brought a fun element to the cocktail hour and reception! Don’t ever be afraid to experiment with colors on your big day because chances are, it’ll turn out AMAZING!!
A special velvet bar menu, beautiful cocktails by Snake Oil Cocktail, rented lawn furniture, and a geometric seating chart made the cocktail area extra special. The small cacti in the floral arrangements added such a cute desert nod, but the lanterns above the head table were the true show-stopper!
Fawn Events styled an array of gorgeous tablescapes, all different but cohesive.
Some of the favorite elements from the day were the custom peach motif dance floor that set the mood in the dining space, along with the personalized acrylic menus tying in the venue’s infamous concrete breeze wall pattern!
Make Way For the Happy Couple!
After snapping some gorgeous photos, the couple returned to their guests all smiles!
P + R shared that from the beginning, they were committed to keeping the day true to them – the music, the location, the aesthetic, and the pieces of “traditional” ceremonies the two decided to incorporate. “Ultimately, we did what made us happy and what was authentic to our relationship. We didn’t force anything!”
