Fine Art Bridal Inspiration with Cement Stone + Terrazzo Accents

Industrial Wedding Inspiration

Set it in stone: we love this fine art bridal inspiration! Color Theory Design Co designed a modern + minimal day with the latest decor trend to take over our Pinterest boards…cement! Yep, concrete accents + monochrome terrazzo showcase an artfully industrial style that’s such a fresh idea when it comes to weddings. Pair those with fine art details like structured blooms, soft bridal style, and even an oil-painting portrait session, this Portland day is nothing short of a masterpiece. Here’s Alyssa from Color Theory Design Co:

More newly-engaged couples are gravitating towards a fine art vibe for their wedding. We wanted to play with the delicacy of this studied theme, juxtaposing it with materials and textures borrowed from industrial design. From concrete + stone accents, metal mesh, as well as brick and steel throughout the venue, these minimalist elements magnified the romantic blooms and ethereal fabric backdrop.

Alixann Loosle Photography played with the hard + soft lines of the venue and design to capture some really beautiful moments from the day. Let’s have a look!

Jenny Sanders designed an artistic invitation suite to set the tone + minimal aesthetic for the day.

Soft + Structured

The venue, Castaway, provided an open layout for the ceremony and reception design, offering structured elements such as concrete floors, large expansive windows, exposed beams, and raw steel accents.

In contrast, the bride took on a soft + romantic style that we’re loving!

Kirstie Wight pinned the bride’s hair into a messy bob, creating a classic shape but keeping it modern with those wild wisps.

The contemporary earrings by Whiskey + Wine mirrored textures found throughout the venue while her dress, Loutus by Watters, had a classic feel with a contemporary edge.

The simple yet dramatic fabric ceremony installation was designed to capture and cast diffused light throughout the space.

Isn’t it rather stunning that the only color comes from the florals by Color Theory Design Co? (And loving that pink + burgundy color palette, too!)

An Artfully Curated Tablescape

For the tablescape, the team combined soft, feminine and minimalist elements such as refined porcelain dinnerware by Lilith Rockett with wildly textured florals.

How beautiful are these colors + textures?!

Suede linens from La Tavola Fine Linen and chairs from Archive Rentals completed the reception’s modern look.

To complete the fine art theme, Color Theory Design Co hand-painted an oil portrait of the bride framed by the fabric ceremony installation. So cool, right?

SO in love with this modern cake by Dream Cakes! And how great is the terrazzo stone + stemmed floral styling? Truly a work of art—just like every detail of the day!
