Did you all catch Lisa + Charles’ amaze shipwreck engagement session, which we shared earlier today on GWS? If not, we highly recommend checking it out! Now, we’re excited to share their gorgeous Wahclella Falls elopement, captured beautifully by Kristen Booth. L + C wanted their day to be reminiscent of some of their favorite stories + fairytales, so they kept that in mind when planning the details. And below, Lisa tells us all about how they pulled it all together:
We were very entranced in making our big day a true fairytale. From the dress to the location nothing could have been closer for us. On our wedding day we truly made it about just the two of us. We had the big fancy wedding in mind to start, but then we realized we didn’t care about tablecloths or menu choice. Our day was just us and close family. We didn’t want the pressure of entertaining others, but about our commitment to each other.
A pretty, petite bouquet by A Floral Affair was just right for the relaxed occasion.
The most memorable moment of our day would have to be our closing vows. As we put on our rings our last vow was, “I promise to love you always” As those last words were spoken I could no longer hold back my tears, which were gently wiped away by my loving groom.
Lisa shares, Even if it’s a small wedding don’t skimp out on a good photographer or makeup artist or even the big dress you want. In the years to come that’s what you’ll have to look back on.
And, on that note, we love her fairytale dress, from the Mira Bridal Couture. It definitely brings some wow factor to the setting + day!
Make the day your own. Don't worry about what anybody else wants or thinks. If you don't want a big day don't do it! It not about entertaining others, it's ultimately about the promise that the bride and groom are making.

Gorgeous images! I completely agree with the advice as well. A wedding day doesn’t need to be entertainment for the guests. A wedding day is about a couple uniting as one and should be reflective of what that means to each individual couple. Many blessings to Lisa and Charles!
What a scenery! Beautiful shots!
Wow this is so magical!!!
