When jewelry + accessories designer Emma Katzka made the move from NYC to Charleston just a few months ago, she was immediately inspired by her new surroundings. And just like her new surroundings, her collection is modern + fresh. Channeling her inner modern bohemian, and today’s bride that wants to be elegant and sensual, while still natural — Emma designed what she describes as a collection inspired by a modern bohemian wanderer lost in a secret tropical garden. The soft pastel colors, the foliage, the on-trend tropical plants all breathed a new life into into the more preppy and traditional South Carolina weddings. I really wanted to show the modern, bohemian lens, so I highlighted the split-leaf philodendron leaves in my flat lays, along with other tropical flowers and leaves. I also love the mix of the tropical leaves and marble.
Emma Katzka Bridal is all about creating striking accessories that are a delicate balance between bohemian, modern, glamorous and a little bit of vintage thrown in. In the latest lookbook, which took place at The Gadsden House in Charleston, Paper Swallow Events was able to make all those elements shine through.
Let’s take a look at all the sweet accessories captured by Rachel Red Photography, shall we?
