It may just now be spring, but designer Alexandra Grecco is already looking to Fall 2018! Inspired by a recent trip to Ile de Ré — an island off the west coast of France (we’ve heard it’s akin to the France’s version of the Hamptons) — along with silhouettes and details found in a 1920s circus, the Magic Hour collection is nothing short of WOW. The color palette features marvelous hues inspired by pastel buildings, hollyhocks that lined the cobblestone streets, along with feathers and shimmering beads.
Who better to bring this dreamy collection to life, than photographer Elizabeth Messina? And if you’re like us and dying to try on one of the many gorgeous gowns — good news: Lovely NYC will have all of her gowns, all of the time! Gowns are also carried at Lovely Bride LA, SF, Dallas, Houston, Miami and Charleston!
Let’s take a gander at all the gowns!
Oh me, oh my… how we are utterly enchanted by those soft layers of champagne tulle. This is the Lana Gown, and she’s *quite* the romantique. With a bodice brimming with hand-embroidered floral appliqué, and a low scoop back — we can’t help imagining twirling around in this whimsical dress all night long!
The Wilder Gown features all the things we love about illusion lace: décolletage on deck, sheer sleeves with delicate detailing, a silhouette that will stay put. Both lavender and perlé are available in this design!
With a plunging V-neckline and all the floral appliqué, we’re LOVIN’ this Iris Gown. It just so happens that it’s also Grecco’s pièce de résistance — otherwise known as the masterpiece of the collection; the SHOW-STOPPER. Oh, and the back? Its strappy detailing nearly disappears, which makes the front, and all the detailing, that much more impressive.
Here, we see some of the Old World inspiration at play, with the long beaded Quinn Jacket atop a modern dress.
For the gal that’s looking to keep things minimal, striking, and oh-so modern, meet the Jaymes Gown.
Aren’t the Luna Bea accessories the perfect touch of whimsy to complement these gowns?
Want to rock a fashion-forward look, but not fully committed to donning a cape? The embroidered Sawyer Gown is the best of both worlds (seen right!).
Parisi is seen on the right, in all its luxurious simplicity. We’re especially fond of the delicate beading along the torso and rough-edge sleeves.
Hello, modern MUSE! Available in Champagne or Off White, the Palma Gown features hand-embroidered illusion lace, flutter sleeves, and one sultry low scooping back.
OOH LA LOVE! The Coco Gown IS the celebration! With a daring V-neckline and hand-embroidery, Coco truly shines with its multiple tiers of ostrich feathers. Made for the soirée of the century? We certainly think so.
“A kind of golden hour one remembers for a lifetime…everything was touched with magic.” – Margaret Bourke-White
