Ethereal Secret Garden Wedding with Vintage Curiosities

Moody Overgrown Wedding

Their aesthetic concept was clearly defined: an ethereal secret garden with pervasive foliage overgrowth and vintage apothecary accents. And boy, did they ever pull it off.

Nick + Drew had been together since they were 16 and wanted to celebrate in a way that fully characterized them as a couple. That meant everything was carefully selected to enhance the moody, intimate day – a true creative production.

Drew gave us more insight behind the dreamy day: Our primary goal from the beginning was to have a very artful, bespoke, intimate wedding so we could give each guest an experience like they have never had before. From the moment they stepped off the trolley they were greeted with carefully curated indulgences and meticulously crafted details that multiplied throughout the day. What wasn’t actively curated, was created: from signature cocktail recipes with homemade ingredients to the pendant kaleidoscopes the father of the groom created as guest favors. Our incredible wedding planner, Carly Rae Weddings, was an excellent collaborator who helped make this possible.

Meghan K Sadler captured all the delightful details…let’s have a peek!

Doesn’t the invitation printed by Copper Willow sweep you right into the day with the overgrowth art and pretty plum + gold envelope?

How gorgeous are the King Protea bouquets by Primary Petals? They absolutely pop against the gals’ Jim Hjelm bridesmaid dresses!

Just YES to Nick’s groom style. He wore a suite from Top Man and shoes from ASOS and we’re loving everything about it!

As for Drew’s gown, this ethereal beauty is by L’ezu Atelier. And let’s just take a moment to appreciate Drew’s fabulous style, shall we?

Melina Ruiz gave Drew those never-ending curls and called out her lovely features with smokey eyes and a deep red lip.

N + D had a total of 76 guests, keeping the day purposefully intimate and special. That’s 76 gorgeous iron chairs from Town & Country Event Rentals from which to watch the ceremony!

Here is where we get into some seriously cool details. Skeleton keys, watercolor dipped name cards, library card boxes…dreamy, right?

Though the grounds were expansive, N + D kept the guest count low and utilized only the most magical spaces to guide their guests through an intimate journey.

Ahh the wax seal on the menus! Looks so perfect with the table-setting from Casa De Perrin and black La Tavola linens.

N + D handpicked their 11 vendors to create a day to truly reflect their own artistry. So the reception chairs from Revelry Event Designers and tables from Circa Rentals fulfill a vision entirely.
