We are totally in love with the stunning wildflower crowns, colorful florals, and ethereal white dresses in this midsommar themed wedding shoot. Hosted in a stunning open field in the English countryside at Hermongers Barn in West Sussex, the team behind this ethereal wedding editorial decided to do their own take on Ari Aster’s horror film, “Midsommar.”
According to photographer, Lilly Wilson, who’s behind these gorgeous Midsommar-inspired photos and this incredible ethereal wedding concept, the team opted to steer clear of the horror aspect of the movie, and embrace the beauty of the film’s visuals. She says: We really wanted to embrace the beautiful visuals and aesthetics of the film. The beautiful May Queen imagery, the summer solstice setting, the folklore & traditions which cross over into the wedding world very well. Not forgetting, lots of florals! These really did become a character in their own right.
We absolutely cannot get over the whimsical design of this intimate, folksy shoot. LDN LUXE Events and Sage & Co Floral Design did an incredible job of planning and decorating the venue with the most beautiful wildflower-covered ceremony and tablescapes. Spring and summertime blooms are everywhere, including on the gorgeous cake and even in the cocktails!
This hand-torn, Midsommar party-inspired invitation suite, with its delicate floral illustration and soft pastel tones, has us in awe.
