We love Erin Fetherston‘s pretty designs here at GWS, so we are excited to share her romantic, old world wedding to rocker Gabe Saporta (lead singer of Cobra Starship) with you all today. You may have seen some photos from the current issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, but we have a few additional photos Erin is sharing just with us. :)
St. Nicholas Abbey, a 350-year-old rum distillery, was the perfect setting for a dreamy destination wedding that was drenched with beauty and a fairytale-like charm. When it came to the gorgeous event design, Erin drew her inspiration from antique storybooks and the rich history of the unsurpassed Barbados surroundings. I’m madly in love with each and every romantic detail Erin + Gabe included into their day. From the perfectly overgrown feel of the florals decorating the ceremony arch; to the gold paper-leaf chandeliers adorning the courtyard where guests sipped pre-dinner cocktails; to the incredibly magical design of the reception tent, this is definitely a wedding that is sure to leave you feeling completely inspired…
Let’s take a moment to talk about how stunning Erin looked on her big day! Erin designed her gorgeous custom wedding gown and paired it with a simple ivory floral halo she designed as well. Her look exudes such a feeling of timeless beauty.
For their recessional, a string quartet played “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles…
Guests enjoyed ‘Dark + Stormies’ and mojitos as an homage to the background and history of their venue.
I’m pretty speechless when it comes to the incredible tent design (by Lewis Miller Design) which included sweeping garlands of ivy + grapevine, gorgeous crystal chandeliers, and lush, overgrown table arrangements of ranunculus, sahara and majolica spray roses, tulips, lisianthus, carnations, eucalyptus, jasmine, and peonies.
And as if that weren’t enough pretty already, we’re so excited to share a peek at Erin’s brand new wedding shop with you lovelies! Here you’ll find a curated selection of dresses perfect for the bride, bridesmaids and honeymoon. Here are a few of our favorites – see even more when you visit the shop!
Congratulations to Erin + Gabe and thank you so much for sharing your day with us!
