Do you dream of getting married somewhere tropical + luxurious? Well, when you lay your eyes on Banyan Tree Mayakoba, located in Riviera Maya of Mexico — you might just have found your place. At least, that’s how event designers, Crosby + Jon along with Archive Rentals, felt when they stumbled upon it!
Krista and Regina of Crosby + Jon share Given the natural beauty in Riviera Maya, we set out to strike the same balance between nature and luxury that Banyan Tree does so effortlessly. To start off, they called up photographer Tec Petaja to capture the location + design in all its glory. Ready to see how it came together? Let’s look!!
It had a special zen-like quality, not just at the spa (which is otherworldly, by the way) but in every inch of the property, which seems to be brimming with good karma.
The ceremony design took place in El Pueblito, the Corazon of the Mayakoba, which is a chapel built in the authentic colonial Mexican style. Inside the chapel, untamed greens framed the aisle, leading to the front of the church, aglow with dozens of candles.
How dreamy is this?!
Florist Moni Junco created this wild, yet elegant, tropical vibe for the bouquet and we simply cannot get enough!
So much greenery + all the tropical vibes!!
The best place to begin building a beautiful wedding in Riviera Maya? Archive Mexico! Brimming with a gorgeous collection of furniture + accessories, which range from organic to modern, you can definitely find the pieces you need to make your vision come to fruition.
Krista and Regina of Crosby + Jon share, We were enamored by the open white space of MK Blue, Banyan Tree’s beach side palapa that is perfectly tucked into the jungle. In our minds there isn’t a more perfect destination reception location. High thatched ceilings and white beams frame the tropical greenery just outside. For dining, we envisioned a space drenched in botanicals to parallel the surrounding emerald jungle. We started with a rustic wood table with beautifully detailed legs, then layered white china, cut crystal plates, brass flatware and gold-rimmed goblets, all from Archive Mexico. We then topped the tables with mirrored runners loaded with clear bottles, and filled them with glossy green tropical leaves.
As golden hour set in, the bride strolled the sands in a creamy tulle Tara LaTour gown… And we can’t help but *gasp* over how gorgeous it looks on this beach setting!
Simple and elegant, with a serious *WOW* factor. Who else would get married in Riviera Maya after seeing this?
A major applause + huge thanks for the talented team behind this gorgeous editorial!
