Glam Bucket List Elopement Inspiration at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi

Giraffe Manor Wedding Elopement

Elopements are generally reserved for two—but sometimes a special guest is worth breaking the rules for! It’s hard to imagine a bigger bucket list moment than taking tea at Nairobi’s famed Giraffe Manor while two giraffes poke their heads through the window. But what’s more incredible than the lush grounds, the pinch-me moments, and the majestic animals, is what’s happening behind the scenes. Photographer Emma-Jane Photography shared a bit about the amazing work Giraffe Manor is doing for endangered Rothschild giraffes:

Giraffe manor is set on 12 acres of land with 140 acres of forest in Nairobi, with the main manor house dating back to the 1930s. The manor is part of the safari collection, where they have an amazing charitable foundation and environmental footprint! Giraffe populations in the wild have dramatically declined and with the purchase of the manor in 1974 the original owners started a campaign to save the endangered Rothschild giraffes.

The conservation and breeding program for the endangered giraffes sees many babies raised and then released back into the nature reserves and increased the population of the species. It was amazing to see these gentle giants so close up, and have amazing interactions with them, all while knowing there was great work going on behind the scenes.

You won’t even believe the incredible photos and moments that Emma-Jane Photography captured around the manor—not to mention the fashion! Let’s take a look!
