The word ‘rustic’ is an adjective describing a certain simplicity + charm – often found in the countryside or rural areas. That pastoral charm is so stunningly captured in today’s editorial. It’s a modern twist on rustic country weddings that we’re living for! Here’s where modern elegance meets those ‘Texas Forever’ vibes.
Emily with Maxwell and Gray Studio shares the team’s forethought:
The inspiration behind this creative shoot was to design something fresh and original; ideas that a more modern, bride who still wants a taste of country, would love without repeating any of the rustic barn wedding trends that have faded to the past. The goal was to be unique, yet relevant, while still paying homage to everyone’s Texas roots.
Cottonwood Road Photography brings this Whitesboro ranch to us through images:
Texan Details
Calligraphy done right! Velvet Paperie mixes modern calligraphy with classic typeface + sweet, minimalist designs.
Countryside Florals
Are you seeing this?! It’s a floral SLEEVE. Emily Kaye Designs is blowing us away with these stunning, lone star-inspired creations. The bride’s free flowing floral sleeve includes two types of cactus and the ‘yellow rose of Texas,’ naturally.
Orchard Portraits
These sweet, prairie ribbons from Tinted Studio are plant-dyed silk and tucked in a dried floral hairpiece. It’s a fun swap from the traditional wedding veil!
Oh, did you think the floral magic was over? Nope. Introducing the chicest men’s accessory to date: the floral lapel. Instead of the bridal bouquet overshadowing the groom’s tiny boutonniere, Emily Kaye Designs created this piece with elements like cactus, dried grasses, fresh wildflowers + dusty Texas sage. We also love this soft accessory juxtaposed with the groom’s coarse, leather vest from Pinto Ranch.
Any Project Runway fans? This Leanne Marshall gown from Lovely Bride Dallas has gray-blue hues that replicate southern country skies.
Tabletop
The tabletop accents + furniture from Coral Lane Specialty Event Rentals show a western lifestyle that we’re totally drawn to. Additionally, those rawhide chairs make us want to saddle up!
Country Confection
Minimalist art + Texas boho styles inspired this four-tiered vision from XO Cakery!
In summary, you don’t have to be a Texan to feel this elegant countryside connection.
