Pink, Black + White: Edgy Rock ‘N’ Roll Elopement in Ibiza, Spain

Sometimes the wedding you originally wanted has to be pushed back — we’ve heard it all: finances, family, or expedited visas. Such was the case for Kenzie & Jo, who signed their marriage papers at the town hall in Lanzarote just last year. Since their original “wedding” wasn’t what they had imagined, they jumped at the chance to meet up with Benevent Planner in Ibiza, Spain to make their elopement dreams a reality!

Working with photographer, Margherita Calati, along with the planner, Butler & White, this allowed K+J an opportunity to celebrate their union + create memorable images they didn’t have the chance to do at town hall. Pretty cool, right? We’ve heard from a number of couples that had similar experiences where their plans didn’t live up to their dream… so, what better way to create new memories than by doing an elopement style photoshoot with the love of your life? Perhaps you can frame it as a renewing of your vows, anniversary session, or simply your “REAL” wedding — whatever the case, we’re fully in support of celebrating life with the one you love!

Ready to take a walk on the wild side? Today’s shoot is brimming with steamy images near the water, plus a serious dose of edgy rocker style. Let’s jump in!

As Kenzie’s hair is currently pink, the team decided to make that part of the color palette (SO FUN!). Isn’t this invitation suite by Studio Alispi edgy, yet elegant?

The Rock ‘N’ Roll Outfits

K+J met in Italy, fell crazy in love + currently enjoy island life together living in Lanzarote. They have a deep love of natural landscapes, share a carefree attitude, along with a passion for motorcycles… so the rocking island of Ibiza was a natural choice!

Elena at Benevent Planner shares: Arriving at the salt flats area of the island, known as Salinas, the long dusty, deserted roads were a real treat for any Harley Davidson rider! Armed with black smoke bombs, they enjoyed a seriously crazy ride!

The Epic Location in Ibiza

What a place to frame a bridal shot, right?! Are you wondering where Kenzie got that fabulous frock? It’s from Otaduy, and her kicks are from Forever Soles.

This magical cove, opposite the island of Es Vedra, is breathtaking with its incredible rock formations. A labyrinth of caves, rocks, and sea pools — the area almost resembles what people imagine when they think of the lost city of Atlantis.

Fun Fact: It was actually once a stone quarry, and the rocks from here were used to build the imposing watch towers of the island, as well as homes and walls of Ibiza.

The Florals

It was all about texture in this bouquet by Floral Dreams Ibiza. They utilized local palms + leaves in gold and black, which made the pale pink anthuriums pop — especially next to Kenzie’s hair color. The bouquet was finished with black suede fringe ribbon, created by Elena.

We ADORE the black sprayed palm leaves in this bouquet. They give it a modern lift and balance Jo’s all black ensemble.

Kenzie’s ethereal gown is such a cool contrast to Jo’s black denim look, don’t you think?

The Vows

Following their portrait session, K+J climbed up the cliffside to an intimate ceremony space with stones all around them.

To enhance the natural setting, Floral Dreams Ibiza created a simple backdrop of dried leaves, palms, and branches in golden tones.

Hats off to them!!

The Sweetheart Table

The couple made their way towards the center of the island (on the back of their motorcycle, no less). There, they enjoyed an intimate dinner, away from all the bright lights of Ibiza. Relaxed and informal, the tablescape combines the textures of the rocks, and the salt collected from Salinas.

We’re seriously crushing on the hand-dyed textiles that Benevent Planner created. The moody pinks are calling our names!

Old metals and moody pink tones truly create that edgy rocker look, complete with textured organic vibes. Major props to the talented crew who put this together!
