Today’s fun editorial was inspired by color, unique textures and an amazing safari backdrop – but it’s not staged as far away as it may look. Elizabeth + Krissie from White Lace Events & Design designed this fun, inspiring scene just a hop, skip + jump away from the GWS HQ, right in San Diego, California!
Elizabeth says, The San Diego Zoo Safari Park allowed us to transport to an African plain complete with giraffes and rhinos behind our ceremony! We wanted to create a new take on a typical “safari” and make it new and fresh for a couple who loves to travel, showcase some amazing colors and create a one of a kind wedding day.
Thanks so much to Luna Photo for the gorgeous photos below!
The couple looked as stunning as their surroundings in attire from M Bride + Nordstrom.
We took over the lookout at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, complete with animals (think elephants and giraffes to name a few) from the park. With hand crafted pieces full of vibrant colors and textures, outstanding florals and travel inspired love notes, our goal was to show that colorful can be elegant, a unique wedding venue can be the right fit, and that thinking outside of the box is the perfect way to approach a wedding day.
The beautiful florals were designed by Isari Flower Studio. We love the textural ingredients + natural palette!
Furniture pieces from Adore Folklore Vintage Rentals, Folk Project + Anthropologie brought Elizabeth’s relaxed, bohemian vision to life.

This is such a fun shoot. Our local zoo in Atlanta hosts events with great views, and I would love to see a few of our clients do something fun like this there!
Whoa!!! This is so badass! I’m in love with that cat! And I seriously wish that I could visit this place – looks amazing!! That bouquet too is wonderful!
