The vibes for Savana + Will’s farmhouse wedding were all about vintage meets modern! Think a sleek wedding dress in a rustic location, a warm color palette but dried florals, and mid-century moden furniture mixed with DIY elements! This is what S + W dreamed up for their wedding day at Olympia’s Valley Estate. With the help of Wild Heart Events, they pulled it off! Erika, from Wild Heart, shared more with us about the inspiration:
Both Savana and Will like simple and clean, but loved that their venue was rustic and overflowing with flowers and texture and wanted to lean in on that. Savana had a preference for mid-century/modern tastes so they liked the contrast between the venue and that vibe. The focus was on the experience; to how the food was served, how the tables were set up, the activities, the rehearsal dinner—were all decided keeping in mind that they wanted to cultivate friendship, conversation, laughter between all the people that were coming together to celebrate their love.

Their officiant incorporated a tree planting ceremony that they thought was really beautiful. To make it even more personal, they planted a lemon tree. Savana is a baker and one of my favorite things to make is lemon pie.

S tackled some rad DIY projects and the results? Amazing!!
Savana and her maid of honor made the place cards and the escort signs for the wedding, since she has such a love for stationary and calligraphy. It was a part of the wedding she wanted to produce and knew it would be hard to give that up to anyone else, so she was happy that her super creative maid of honor (and wedding planner) could tackle it together.

Wild Club Design nailed the wedding day florals!! The mix of dried + fresh and also muted + vibrant colors is so modern and on-trend!

ENCORE Event Rentals provided all of the furniture rentals. S is a big fan of mid-century modern design, so these sleek lounge spaces with their dramatic hanging floral installations were a must-have to balance the rustic farmhouse wedding vibes!

Limit the amount of time you spend comparing your ideas to other wedding you’ve seen. "I absolutely LOVED looking through Pinterest, instagram, and blogs and started to get overwhelmed with different ideas and started to lose sight of what WE wanted vs. what was popular with other weddings. Trust in your planner and do you, and own it.
