We’re kind of in love with every single thing about that opening shot. That dress, the view, and the crystal-clear spark between these two lovebirds is enough to have us all starry-eyed. Vineet + Dan are both doctors (Yep. Beauty AND brains), who wanted their engagement session with Katie Shuler to capture their love with California’s beautiful mountains and beaches as their backdrop. As Cali dwellers know, the freedom to explore both of those  settings within the same day is one of the most incredible things about our state. And we love that these guys took full advantage of that opportunity!
From Vineet, Dan and I met while we were living New York City, but we recently moved to Los Angeles for work. Since our wedding will be near my hometown in Toronto and we don’t know where our careers will take us next, we wanted to do an engagement shoot that captured the beauty and magic of California. We felt our engagement shoot was an opportunity to do more creative and whimsical pictures than we would do on our wedding day, and Saddlerock Ranch and El Matador Beach seemed ideal to represent LA. With the help of Katie Shuler’s vision and direction, we achieved some beautiful shots, and had an incredible and unforgettable day exploring both this gorgeous ranch and El Matador.
A little jealous that these two got to meet + greet Saddlerock Ranch’s adorable (and apparently very friendly) horses + zebras!
We aren’t sure which we love more, V + D all decked out for those dreamy ranch shots or these more casual + romantic images on the beach… Guess we’ll have to call it a draw!

I am in love with the opening shot, too! I also love Vineet’s dress in the ranch shots; even with the serene backdrop and zebras, my eyes always go right to her.
Amazing pictures. The horses and zebras were such an unique touch, but I really like the ones at the beach those really focused more on the couple.
Zebras? Where is there a zebra farm in malibu? That is so cool!
