It’s Friday and the weather definitely feels like summer here, so we thought it would be fun to come up with a fun summer treat – perfect for a bridal shower, backyard wedding or just your next summer party! We partnered with Yulu Yogurt – one of our current favorite snacks – to come up with a new spin for summer entertaining.
If you’re not familiar with Yulu Yogurt, it’s an Aussie inspired yogurt, but made here in the USA. It’s extra creamy, double-smoothed and best of all – healthy! Since the yogurt is so creamy, we thought it would be the perfect base for some homemade frozen yogurt! Pair that with mini cookies and some rainbow sprinkles (in the form of our favorite cereal as a kid – Fruity Pebbles! – and it makes for a super fun (and pretty!) summer treat! Let’s see how to make it! And fun side note? This recipe took us quite a few tries to perfect – but of course even bad frozen yogurt is still pretty tasty! :) But just a note that these measurements make the most delicious creamy frozen yogurt, so hope you all enjoy!!
- 2 cups Yulu Strawberry Yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- small cookies (we used both ginger cookies and chocolate chip with macadamia nuts)
- Fruity Pebbles
Here’s how we made the Frozen Yogurt:
- Put all three ingredients in your blender + blend until smooth
- Put the yogurt in an airtight bowl in your freezer for at least 5 hours
- After 5 hours, the yogurt is ready to be put in between two cookies
- Roll in some Fruity Pebbles and then enjoy!!
If you prefer a more traditional ice cream sandwich, skip the Fruity Pebbles – it’s still pretty delicious!
Not only are these so yummy, but they are so pretty too, right?!?!
We hope you are inspired to make your own Yulu Yogurt Frozen Yogurt Sandwiches this summer! They’d be perfect for your bridal shower, engagement party or your next summer party! And of course they would be a big hit with your littlest guests. :) Of course, no special occasion is necessary either!
If you do happen to make these, we’d love to see how they turn out, so please share on Instagram with #GreenWeddingShoesDIY
