Oh my CONTRAST! Today, we’re heading to the snowy mountains of the Pacific Northwest to the Snoqualmie Pass (about an hour outside of Seattle), for winter wedding inspiration dripping with burgundy pops and lots of black accents. Which, when paired with the pristine white backdrop, make for insanely gorgeous and striking shots!
Willow & Ivy Events tells us: the intention of this shoot was to combine dark, moody colors and the bright white snow up in the mountains. Black and deep burgundy tones set the stage for the moody aesthetic, while the bride twirls in the glistening snow. Also, the bride in this shoot is not only a real Willow & Ivy Events bride — but is also the florist (Petal + Vine Floral Design)!
Prepare to absolutely melt over this snowy set in the photos captured by Breanna + Kevin!
When you’ve got glistening snow, there’s no need to use another backdrop! How luxe is this black and white invitation suite from Rachel Johnson Calligraphy Co?
The Dress
We’re all for a killer two-piece gown! Especially when paired with that sultry mesh body suit… Awoooogah! This flowing watercolor-inspired skirt is from Sweet Caroline.
The Florals
Oh, oh, oh! So moody, so cool, so… dare we say, sultry?! Petal + Vine Floral Design absolutely nailed this blooming bouquet and all the dark tones.
Right with ya, girl — we’d be twirling all day in that skirt!
Is there any better way to finish an outfit that with a wicked cool leather jacket?! We LOVE how it complements the florals!
The Sweetheart Table
A red velvet Northwest Vintage Rentals settee, an abundance of candles, onyx black goblets from Balancing Balloons, and one stunning circular arch composed of greenery… So dreamy.
Don’t miss the adorable menu booklets at each setting by Rachel Johnson Calligraphy Co! Plus, marble table settings? DIVINE!
All those pops of red, especially when paired with the black and white are so striking! Can you see the small scrolls in the wine glasses that served as place cards? Too cute!
Petal + Vine Floral Design, we can’t get over how the greenery hoop framed the two of you so perfectly!
The Cake
Last, but certainly not least, this dark + moody cake from Delicately Sweet Confections! We adore the brushed look of the black as it transitions from the gray, plus the added touch of gold foil. Gorgeous!
Like an absolute dream, right?! Now, what would you wear for a snowy elopement with your love? We’d love to hear all about your preferred color scheme + outfit options below!
