Craft Cocktails for the Ladies!

Ladies Night Cocktails

T-minus 6 days until Valentine’s Day and though we’re all about the romance here at GWS, we’re also all about a night in with the gal pals! Bring on the rom coms, bad date stories, and—oh yes—the cocktails! And while a vodka soda certainly hits the spot in a pinch, we think Valentine’s Day is as good a time as any to breakout the good barware and fancy it up a bit! Today we’ve got three excellent craft cocktail recipes, courtesy of Barcon Cocktail Co., so let’s pour one out for all the ladies, shall we?

With photos from The Venue Report, florals by Layered Vintage, and the prettiest tabletop wear from Hostess Haven, we’re feeling inspired to test out a few recipes tonight…gotta be prepared, right?!

Ladies Night Cocktails

Unicorn Shake

1.5oz Strawberry-Marshmallow Infused Vodka (below)
.5 oz Soy Milk (Very little soy milk, used for consistency)
.75oz Strawberry Coulis (below)
Sprinkles, Cookie

Strawberry Marshmallow Infused Vodka: Quarter 10 fresh strawberries and place them, as well as a half bag of mini marshmallows, into sealed container with vodka. Allow to sit for 48-hours before serving.

Strawberry Coulis: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of strawberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1 TB of lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Transfer to a blender and purée until smooth. Strain and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Blend all ingredients (besides sprinkles and cookie) with ice. Dip rim of glass in infused vodka and sprinkles, pour shake into glass, top with cookie, and enjoy!

Lucid Love

1oz Gin

.5 oz Pomegranate Shrub (below)
Dash Peach Bitters

Pomegranate Shrub: Combine 1 cup pomegranate juice, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a large bottle. Shake to combine.

Combine everything in a cocktail shaker and shake, baby, shake! Serve in a coupe cocktail glass and garnish with sprinkles, tangerine, and a black raspberry sour candy.

Paint Me Pastel

1.5 oz Tequila
1.0 oz Black-Raspberry Liqueur
.5 oz Juice from a Lemon
.5 oz Agave Nectar
1 Tbsp Aquafaba

Curious about Aquafaba, aka, chickpea water? It’s a vegan egg white replacer!

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Seal, then shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes to whip air into the drink (the aeration is key to getting a good, fluffy head). Add ice to the shaker; seal and shake for 15 seconds, until chilled.

Garnish with strawberry wafer cookies and bitters.
