A little bit country, a little bit rock ’n’ roll, and a whole lotttttta color! Today’s elopement inspiration comes from the desert of Anza Borrego State Park, and it’s brimming with wildflower blooms, and tons of fun + edgy elements. Inspired by this year’s desert wildflower super bloom, designer + planner, Tabitha Abercrombie of Winston and Main gathered her talented vendor friends, Julie Shuford Photography, The Blushing Bird, and Mwokaji Cakery, for something totally WILD.
Featuring brilliant blooms, a desert tablescape for two, flower-infused cocktails, a rock-candy cake, a guitar strumming groom, and a sweet barefoot first dance in the desert, this shoot is loaded with fun inspiration for those planning their own desert wedding. Ready to fall head over heels for the photos by Julie Shuford Photography? Let’s look!
Focusing on bright pops of color, this bouquet by Winston & Main features a pink protea, along with gold + magenta accents — reminiscent of what would be found in the desert landscape.
Playing up the magenta and purple tones of the bouquet, the team incorporated colorful pops with the glassware + rugs.
Flower ice cubes, for the win!! We’re a big fan of these… Looking for the perfect cocktail to use them with? Here’s one of our faves!
How gorgeous is that custom embroidered denim jacket?! Absolutely LOVE!! Winston & Main tells us It’s got Gram Parson’s lyrics sewn into it… One of my all time favorites!
For an added touch of glam, the bride wore a hairpiece by Debbie Carlisle (style Haillie).
THAT CAKE!! Okay, how incredible is this masterpiece by Mwokaji Cakery?!
So. Stunning. Now, this begs the question — who is wanting to elope in the desert?! Share your ideas with us in the comments below!
And a huge THANK YOU to the talented team behind this shoot.
