Copper + Gems Abound at this Sweet Santa Barbara Wedding

Boho Chic Goodland Hotel Wedding

“For many people weddings are about starting a family. Our wedding was about blending ours.” Today’s Santa Barbara wedding celebrates the union of two families across two states, and the two people who bridged the gap to bring them together. Natalie + Jon’s families live in Utah and California, so it was very important that their wedding day felt like home to everyone involved! This meant implementing creative details, like the two states overlapped on the invitations + decor, as well as cozy comforts, like a family table with a sofa and chairs, more akin to a living room than a traditional reception setup.

N+J called on Orange Blossom Special Events to help create the day’s eclectic vibe: Natalie + Jon’s wedding is filled with Native American inspiration, but also has a wonderful bohemian flair. The ceremony took place at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and the reception was at The Goodland Hotel and we made sure to get many photos at both settings! The colors are vibrant and fun, and oh so festive! The venue made for the perfect backdrop and it certainly is a hidden gem nestled in the suburbs of Santa Barbara. Gem stones, turquoise, and cobalt blues adorn the many elements of this celebration.

Erin J Saldana Photography was on site, camera in hand, to capture the sweet details of the day:

Doesn’t she look gorgeous?! Natalie’s soft curls and glowy makeup are thanks to Jenna at EDA.

Not the courthouse scene you were expecting? It is Santa Barbara, after all! Natalie + Jon were married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse, which features stunning architecture and grounds.

Natalie’s father crafted the arch from copper piping, which later functioned as a cake stand arch at the reception.

It may look more like a living room than a head family table, but we’ll take that living room any day!
