Looking to color outside the lines on your wedding day? Want a little something that, say…pops? We’ve certainly got a world of inspiration for you today! (Did someone say pink tux?!) Holly at Anything But Gray Events set out to prove that colorful details don’t just have to be the details, but rather, put those colors front + center! Los Angeles’ most colorful venue, The Fig House, served as the backdrop for the day — and here’s what Holly had to say about the design:
When designing this shoot I wanted us to step out of the box and go big or go home! As a wedding planner who specialized in colorful events for creative couples, I wanted us to showcase how color can add dimension, excitement and the unexpected twist to a ceremony and reception. By incorporating unique features like textured hanging hoop floral installation pieces and neon lucite signage, as well as a bright pink tuxedo for our groom, we hoped to inspire couples to embrace and explore pops of color and uniqueness in their own weddings.
Mary Costa Photography was on hand to capture all the colorful details!
When it came to paper goods for the day, Ink and Nod Designs‘ calligraphy brought the fun + fresh vibes.
These Freya Rose shoes…all the heart eyes!
The bride’s ombre & for Love dress came courtesy of BRIDE, while that sophisticated ‘do and subtle cat eye are by Cheek to Cheek Artistry.
Speaking of colorful ombre, did you guys see our DIY ombre ultra violet veil? We’re thinking you could use the same techniques on a dress or cape to get this look!
We dig a groom in pink (or blush!) and this suit from ASOS is bubblegum pop defined.
And now we get to…the balloons! This fun + colorful backdrop is the handiwork of Balloonzilla.
Love those paper lanterns in the mix!
That Jewels by Grace engagement ring looks lovely in that plush green ring box!
A colorful day begs for colorful food, no? Room Forty‘s menu looks as delicious as it does stunning, especially on those beautiful plates from Fern & Bone Vintage Rentals!
The answer is yes, we’ll take one (or two) Garderner’s Reliefs from Pharmacie!
Not only did Shindig Chic create the floral arrangements and neon lucite signage, they also made these super-fun textured floral hanging hoops!
We feel a DIY coming on…
Can’t get over that colorful pink suit? Thankfully, ASOS has plenty shades to choose from:

And to end the day on a sweet note, this funky cake by Cakes by Colin does the trick! Such a fun shoot (with so many good ideas) from the team! Thanks to Holly at Anything But Gray Events and everyone for sharing your creative work with us!
