Just Wait Until You See the Killer Sequin Veil from this Color-Filled London Wedding

Unique London Wedding

Ok… we’ve got serious stars and sparkles in our eyes over Hannah and Jenny’s totally rad and eclectic wedding in London’s Asylum Chapel and Trinity Buoy Wharf. H + J’s personalities were shining in every detail, from the super unique bridal party attire and colorful boho flowers to the crazy cool tablescapes and Jenny’s INCREDIBLE custom sequin veil. We are in love with it all!! The ceremony space was moody and romantic and then the reception, complete with a live band, balloons and a glittery backdrop, brought the party! We also love how this creative couple included a ton of DIY decor touches to really make the day their own!

H + J told us all about their amazing DIY projects and the vision behind their day:

Jenny’s sister did all the wedding stationary from scratch as well as making all of the bridesmaids dresses (including the fabric) with Jenny’s Mom. We also had a large group of our friends who are textile designers, paint all of our table cloths. Our goal for the day was for everything to be colorful and fun! We really appreciated the help of everyone around us!

Let’s take a look at all of the details through the lens of We Heart Pictures. If you’re like us, you need a close up shot of that killer veil!! Let’s go!

Bring in the Color!

These ladies have style!! We’re loving Jenny’s Old-Hollywood style gown by Belinda Chorley from Beyond Bridal. Her cute pink shoes are from Vivienne Westwood. Hannah’s shirt is by Phoebe English her dapper striped suit is by Missoni. Of course we HAD to ask Jenny for more details on her show-stopping veil. It is BEYOND incredible!!

Ashish created my veil for me from a sequin-embroidered fabric design from their Spring/Summer 2014 show. As soon as I thought about the veil I’d like, this design popped into my head. It was custom-made in India, and absolutely beautiful.

So many creative people in one wedding!! Jenny’s mom and sister designed the fabric for the bridesmaids dresses. They made the gowns and also the ties for the bridesmen! They are absolutely stunning and so unique!! WE LOVE!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Definitely use your friends to help make your day everything you imagine! We called our wedding the wedding of a million favors!

Speaking of these favors, H + J have tons of friends that design textiles so they all helped to paint the table cloths for the reception! Shout out to John Booth, Helen Bullock, Charlotte Helyar, Jessie Hands, Bethan Laura Wood, Beth Postle, Helen Price, Peter Bailey, Chloe Griffin, Luke Brooks, Sam Leutton and Gem Wagget for their killer work!! The room looks amazing with so much fun color!

Jenny’s sister, Beth Postle, made all of the papergoods and Adam Knights designed the amazing boho floral arrangements for both ceremony and reception.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The speeches! We didn't expect it to be so emotional. We also did a lottery for our first dance. Everyone paid a pound to put a song in of their choice on the promise we would dance to whatever was pulled out, and all the money was donated to LGBT charities in Wolverhampton and Derbyshire. (where we are from)
