Drawing inspiration from the textured walls + warehouse vibe of the new event space, 800 Congress, in Austin, Texas — today’s styled shoot is brimming with color + cool details! Event designer + planner, Bird Dog Wedding, juxtaposed the space’s industrial elements with romantic and modern details, and florals were crazily abundant. From rainbow bouquets and ombré centerpieces, to a climbing floral wall, lush with greenery, it was definitely a floral love fest. The palette combined vibrant and punchy colors like mustard and magenta, along with accents of pale blue, lots of pinks, peach and berry hues. Adding a sort of luxe quality, metallic copper and holographic foil stationery rounded out the details.
Husband + wife photography team, Nichols Photographers, tell us The editorial was inspired a bit by the Japanese art form of Ikebana, so we really played around with the designs of the florals and kept them very textural. The overall shoot exuded a romantic, modern feeling — for the couple that’s looking for a something a little different, yet with touches of tradition.
