Do you have a thing for all things eclectic + colorful? Have you been known to have Wes Anderson movie marathons? What about anything with a Western twist? Today’s wedding is a vibrant + eclectic mix of all those aspects, and more! The bride, Amy, is a self-proclaimed “fashion nerd” (she actually runs the blog, A Fashion Nerd), and essentially DIYed the whole day. From her dress, to the bridesmaids frocks, her hairpiece, and more — it’s was endless creativity, as she and her beau, Ben, brought their Wes Anderson-inspired aesthetic to Pioneertown.
Amy shares: Our entire wedding was pink and green; pink is my favorite color and green is his favorite color — so that’s what we went with! We really came together and designed and created everything, even the wooden pink house backdrop we got married in front of. Our photo booth was also had a very Wes Anderson vibe, that we think he’d be proud of.
Sounds like quite the celebration, right?! Let’s take a tour in the photos snapped by Dewey Tann:
The Wedding Party
As Amy’s favorite color is pink, and Ben’s is green — they decided to meet in the middle and create a wild scheme using both of the hues!
Totally original. Completely unique. Amy DIYed each ensemble for her ladies, and even crafted her very own wedding dress. Way to go, girl!
How dapper to Ben + his groomsmen look? We’ve never seen green + pink look so good together!
The Vows in Front of the Pink + Green House
Processional: Old Western Music
Recessional: Here Come the Men in Black by Will Smith
First Dance: You're My Best Friend by Queen
Ben is a full-time puppet maker, so it comes as no surprise that he wanted to up the ante when it came to the design of the day. I mean, when you’re bride is a major DIY diva, there’s no shortage of fun surprises. To do this, they crafted this wooden house backdrop on the soundstage in Pioneertown.
When my husband and I exchanged hand-written vows.
Want to create a fun + eclectic look similar to this? Here are a few of our picks:

Preserve your vows + have them framed after the big day — such a sweet idea, right?
The Colorful Reception
It was ALL about color for A+B.
How quintessentially Wes Anderson is this photo wall?
How’s that for a major dose of color + fun?! Congratulations, to the both of you!
Wes would be proud. ;)
