Today’s wedding celebration is just TOO good, so we’re sharing it in TWO parts! Make sure to pop back in a few hours to see all the rest of the shenanigans. :) You may remember today’s couple, Jaimee + Adam from this ‘Vintage Shop Owners’ Engagement Photos at World Famous Crochet Museum’ post several months back. Well, the two officially tied the knot last December, surrounded by just their immediate family, but after the wedding, they wanted to host a fun, laid-back colorful celebration in the desert (we’re totally on board with that!).
For their reception at 29 Palms Inn, every single detail was handmade and resourcefully gathered by the couple themselves – a 100% DIY effort that resulted in a playful, highly saturated treat for the eyes! Since the two own a vintage clothing shop, they of course, wore vintage, and even included a fun outfit change! They encouraged all of their guests to dress in vintage, too, and everyone showed up in style rocking monochromatic colors, which made for a super fun rainbow group shot!
Ready to see all the eclectic details that didn’t break the bank (YES!!)? Let’s take a look at the captures by Jenn Emerling!
Personalized drawings + a map of the reception — isn’t this invitation suite by Hartland Brooklyn adorable?!
Totally vintage + totally cool!
As for Adam? He rocked a crushed velvet burgundy suit jacket + looked mighty fine doing so!
Papel picado banners were festooned from the trees and wherever they could hang. And the two went crazy with colorful accents!
Jamiee shares Stay in the moment! It’s sounds so cliche, but I cannot express how true it is. I did not hire a wedding planner for the day, and instead decided to rely on myself, my family, and friends to help. I was in my pajamas helping to set up until I had to get ready, and I kept stopping myself several times throughout the day to thank everyone around me and feel the love everyone was pouring into helping us. Throughout the reception, I trusted my talented photographer to grab all the special moments happening around us and the in-house wedding coordinator to take care of the food so I could remain present! I woke up the next morning remembering everything and regretting not one thing, even though it all went by so fast.
This bag of goodies may be sweet, but we think that drawing of them is even sweeter!
Piñatas galore!! From a rainbow, to a cactus, and even life sized piñatas of themselves from The Pinata House!
How fun are those tables?! We’re loving the colorful napkins + patterned plates!

All the succulent accents!
So much fun!! And be sure to pop on over here to see even more of Jaimee + Adam’s wild celebration!
