Colorful Casual Wedding on the Baja Coastline with a Reception Among Ruins

Colorful Baja Mexico Wedding

It’s easy to keep it simple when you plan a wedding where the surroundings are gorgeous in their own right! Alex + Logan are two adventurous spirits who planned their destination wedding at Hotel San Cristobal in Todos Santos, Mexico around tacos, tequila, and dancing! The hotel, part of the Bunkhouse family of total design-goals boutique hotels, offered color + inspiration for a day filled with laughter and meant-to-be moments. Judy Morgan at Hotel San Cristobal helped plan the day according to A + L’s inspiration:

The inspiration for the day was mostly the surroundings. We specifically chose a setting that would not need a lot of “stuff” to feel beautiful. We were also focused heavily on having fun, and not stressing about details that didn’t matter much to us.

Jenn Emerling was the perfect photographer to capture the day’s celebration! Let’s have a look!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

We had a close friend do most of our ceremony, and a shaman named Saul do a blessing. It was quite windy when we first got to the altar but the moment that Saul started talking, he asked everyone to take a deep breath and take in our beautiful surroundings. Right then, a whale breached in the background as we were all overlooking the ocean. Talk about a pinch-me moment!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Make a short list of what is most important to you as a couple and pick those vendors first. Everything else will fall into place.

Surreal is one of the first words that come to mind when I think about our wedding day. I knew from the very beginning that an incredible photographer and videographer were my non-negotiables. The day flies by and there are so many moments that would easily slip into the back of our minds if not for the chance to relive through photos and video. Don't skimp on the photographer or videographer. You will thank yourself later!
