If your idea of a perfect wedding involves a laid-back atmosphere, lots of color, whiskey tasting + a gorgeous backdrop, you’re going to wish you could step right through your screen and into Kate + Wes’ fun celebration at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, Colorado. A Vintage Affair Events helped these two pull off a day that was a seamless reflection of their fun-loving personalities and Bare Root Flora enriched the setting with some of the most textural + colorful blooms we’ve seen!
Kate + Wes share, We wanted our wedding to be rustic but personal. We wanted thoughtful details that made the event feel like an extension of our home (whiskey tasting, fire pit, yard games). We also love food so serving a beautiful meal to our guests was a top priority!
Thanks so much to Connie Whitlock for the gorgeous photos and big congrats to Kate + Wes on a beautiful day!
See, we weren’t kidding around when we gushed over the florals in the intro! Kate’s ranunculus, anemone, pieris, air plant + pincushion protea bouquet is a major beaut.
Definitely our first look! We hadn't seen each other since our rehearsal and we were both really nervous. It was so nice to have some time together before all the festivities began.
Kate rocked cowboy boots instead of heels, as did her bridesmaids + all the ladies in her family!

Connie Whitlock says, The couple chose to seat their 75 guests at two long farm tables, which were a real focal point for the evening. The wooden tables were set with vintage china, delicate grey runners, and a gorgeous mix of florals in wood boxes, delicate brown bottles, and beautiful smoky glass and stone urns filled with textural and lush blooms in a deep and saturated color palette. Watercolor painted place cards, loose artichokes and beautiful votives finished off the tables perfectly. Overhead, an eclectic mix of Edison bulbs were hung to give the tables a gorgeous glow.
HIRE A PLANNER. Also, listen to your vendors and give them some creative freedom - they're in this business for a reason and they have amazing knowledge and ideas!
